I love my shower to be hot. Warm just will not cut it. Steamy and scalding. The minute this Evolve Lily showerhead came, Christian immediately put it up. There was some technical difficulty on our end, as we thought it was going to work a tad differently....so let me tell you how it works in layman terms.
You turn your water on. It sprays out of the Evolve showerhead until the water temperature reaches 95. Then the water stops running, it drips out. So you have time to undress, brush your teeth, shave your face (for a man obviously) or get all the kids toys out of your bath tub. When you're ready too enter, you just pull the string and the water flow starts again. Please feel the water as it will not STOP of 95 and you don't want to scald yourself.
This Evolve showerhead was good when we lived in our brand new house in Georgia. The house that the water heated up within seconds, even though the water heater was on the other side of the house. This showerhead works AWESOME in our new (old) house in Florida, where it literally takes 4-5 minutes for the water to heat up. I am so super impatient and find that I stick my arm in to check the temperature over and over and over again. Since, I know it is going to take forever to heat up, I run a muck through the house, getting as many chores done as possible....which is EXACTLY why this showerhead was invented.
It took about a week to install the showerhead when we moved as we needed to buy an attachment piece because the previous owners were either Little People or didn't wash their hair, only their chests....which was where the water directly hit.
The showerhead I recieved is large, like a party of water streams. It has 3 adjustments for those of you that like the pounding feeling or a mixture of what I call bliss with what I call the pounding.
I love it. I love, love, love it. I love that it saves water by holding it in place once it hits the optimal temperature of 95. So, I can literally turn it on and: go do some laundry, pick up Zealand's messy bedroom and/or check twitter (the most obvious of these choices). When I hear no, stream, I know it's time for a minute of me time. Just a minute before Zealand comes in and opens the shower curtain letting my lovely hot water steaminess to leave and the cold air from the house to enter.
Using an evolve showerhead can save a yearly average of 2,700 gallons of water, the fossil-fueled energy it takes to heat it—and up to $75 off your utility bill.
$75 yearly utility savings*
2,700 gallons yearly water savings*
4 months payback time*
*estimate
So anyway....good for the environment. Potentially good for your wallet (if you pay for water) and good for you (cause the showerhead rocks). Saves water without decreasing your flow...like other water saving showerheads do. Like your own showerhead? Buy the adaptor pieces that make these work!
So wanna buy one now, right?
Wait and see if you can win one first!
Yep! They are giving ONE Evolve showerhead Lily away to a US reader in either chrome or brushed nickel..your choice.

ShowerStart™ technology changes that equation because it watches the shower’s temperature and “triggers a trickle” as soon as the shower is warm enough to jump in. So cool!

I like how the "Ladybug Adapter" makes installation so easy! Installation (laziness) is one of the reasons we haven't installed an eco-friendly showerhead yet.

I think the roadrunner would be a good shower head for our kids' bathroom. My oldest is just now taking showers and it would help us use less water!
