How stoked am I that I got this opportunity to review Biokleen?
If you follow my blog at all, you know we have had ammonia issues and rash issues. BumGenius recommends that you bleach their diapers while other diaper companies say DO NOT BLEACH....so what are you to do for ammonia issues? I have tried it all when it comes to stripping. EXCEPT Biokleen!
I was also sent Biokleen Bac-Out. For you cloth diaper followers/readers of mine....I know you have heard of this product! I have been separating the stinky ammonia inserts from the non-stinky and treating them accordingly. I have been stitching in a loop to those I have treated to see, if the next time around if they continued to smell. I read the instructions on the Bac-Out, which said to completely soak the insert. I accidentally (I think) used the open squirting bottle instead of the spray bottle, which left me only 25% of the bottle left on only about 6 inserts!! I was devastated to think that I wasted all the Biokleen goodness.....until I realized, they sent me TWO bottles! One is their foaming action!
Oh and IT WORKED! I have not filled my stinky pail in 2 weeks now. I don't have much more to report...it's easy:
1. Aim
2.Spray
3. Wash
=
ammonia free inserts!
BIOKLEEN BAC-OUT REMOVES THE AMMONIA IN YOUR INSERTS!!
I officially go on record.
What I love about Biokleen is that it works for so much more than diapers!
Before I even used the Biokleen oxygen bleach on my diapers, I had this awesome idea of trying it on my crappy shower. You see, we built a cookie cutter home and in it they put in cookie cutter everything. So, we ended up with a plastic shower that is made of complete crap. I cannot get the floor of the shower cleaned. The shower has the bubbly bottom that hordes the dirt between the grooves. The only thing, I have found that works is.....toilet bowl cleaner that has bleach in it....weird, right? (That's how desperate I am to clean this shower, I have tried EVERYTHING!)
Starting the 1st of the year, we have switched ALL of our cleaning products to eco-friendly....so no more bleach toilet bowl cleaner....HELLO Biokleen oxygen bleach! Yep, I made a paste out of it and some water, and let it soak in for awhile. i came back and scrubbed with a celo pad and VOILA' shower is white again!!!
Not only is it good for cleaning my shower, it of course it great for my laundry! I love that I can use it on my diapers and feel that it is safer for my children but safer for our environment.
Their motto is Tough on Dirt, Gentle on the Environment
